How Reading Works
Reading is not a natural ability in humans.
When humans learn to read, they start by reading out loud, hearing the sounds as they say them.
This audio loop moves internal after a while, though many of us still resort to moving our lips if we are in a noisy environment.
Reading, then, is not purely a visual activity, but relies on a mixture of both sight and sound.
