Good ID or LXD means accurately identifying:

1. What difference this training will make to your business (i.e., why bother?).

1. How people should behave after taking your course that they couldn't or wouldn't do beforehand.
2. Where your learner is coming from and how to bring them to where you want them to go.

I conduct needs analysis, content extraction and organization, instructional design and storyboard writing.

Once that is signed off, I can develop the final program or manage the development using your own in-house graphic designers and programmers.

I provide oversight, feedback and quality assurance to your team during the development process.

Why Mitch?

Aside from my 30 years of experience, I have a post-graduate certificate in Courseware Design and Production and a B.Sc. in Cognitive Science and Psychology. The former focused on instructional design for e-learning and the latter explored in detail how the brain works, with an emphasis on how we learn. I try and keep both in mind when designing courses for 21st Century digital audiences.

• I write interactive modules that engage the learner's prior knowledge while imparting new information using audio, video and text along with exercises such as scenarios that reflect real life practice.
• l find the right questions to ensure comprehension and application of skills and address motivation, so that they not only know how to do the job properly but want to. 
• I have the experience to take a project from beginning to end or I can jump in at any point.
