Solution
This is a serious topic requiring great attention to detail that varies based on the target's job description. We created a fun and engaging series of short units to gain learner attention while emphasizing the serious nature of the material.by employing a combination of tutorial slides, demonstration videos and game-style exercises, such as "beat the clock" one on the right.

Given the diverse and general audience and desire to make it easy to use, a tutorial approach with lots of appealing photos and color was adopted, interspersed with questions that encouraged customers think about the benefits.

After challenging the learner's knowledge of sexual harassment they are given a set of criteria and shown a series of 3-part story scenarios. Between each part they are asked whether sexual harassment occurred or not and why, based on the criteria. A quick and fun way to test our beliefs and assumptions.

Solution
The key messaging was communicated by videos of management support, testimonials by staff, and scripted demonstrations of the right and wrong way to serve customers. An 80% mastery test was required to be followed up by managers.

Prepare agents in far flung locations to deal with region-specific natural disasters.
Solution
Part eLearning, part job-aid, this course required maximum flexibility based on learner interest. The entry point became a portal to one of 3 topics: a regional office map listing natural disasters in that area, an "Essentual Eight" list of generic preparedness strategies, and a visceral microlearning primer on how to prepare for each one, such as a tornado.

Train insurance adjusters to assess and negotiate damages from a road accident.
Solution
An interactive simulation requiring learners to do things like putting the steps of the process in order, observing the accident site, interviewing witnesses and making an offer to the plaintiff. Each step is scored with feedback given--however, they must finish the sim without changing their answers, at which point they can start over. This remediation and repetition trains them to make the right decisions in the right order from start to finish, as they will have to do on the job.

My goal was to make sure the tech ran smoothly despite her unfamiliarity with it, and to handle any last second issues that came up during the live webinar itself so that she could focus without distraction on the connection she was building with her audience. A second person watched the chat collecting questions to put to her during the Q&A.

We also developed exercises and simulations requiring the students to go through the process themselves, with extensive feedback and opportunities for practice.

Solution
Working from videotaped lectures of professors speaking to the camera off of their notes, we divided the lectures into smaller segments and added illustrations animations and questions to make the content more understandable and engaging, to check for understanding and increase retention.
